Time of day is so important when it comes to sessions and even outdoor weddings… especially in Georgia when every summer seems hotter than the last with temperatures reaching 100 degrees! While I do feel confident in my abilities to photograph at any point during the day, during these summer months I love being able to photograph around 7pm. At this time the sun slowly starts to set and the lighting is perfect! Other times of the day can works also, but it is always important to keep the heat in mind. One of the first things I tell couples when I photograph is ‘shade is our friend.’ This is so true… not only because it is hot but also because we don’t really want harsh direct sunlight on your faces. In the meantime, I’ll continue looking forward to fall and cooler weather. I love this image from last fall:

It was such a joy to see their happiness and excitement for their wedding. They had the largest and most amazing wedding party. Veronica’s bridesmaids went out and dried every single chair for their guests after a terrible storm; it stopped just in time for the wedding to still be held outdoors. I loved all of the details from this wedding!
